Dakiniten (Buddhist character)

Note: Buddhist deity based on the Shinto goddess of rice, Inari. Often depicted riding a white fox, considered a messenger of Dakiniten and Inari. Some depictions include snakes entwining around the figure or the fox's paws, to symbolize associations with Uga Benzaiten, a Buddhist and Shinto snake deity.
