Discovery of Erichthonius (Greek narrative)

Note: Narrative surrounding the adoption of Erichthonius, future king of Athens, by three daughters of Cecrops, the then-king of Athens. The newborn Erichthonius, fruit of the seed of smith-god Hephaestus that fell to Earth as he vainly pursued Athena; Erichthonius was born of the Earth, rescued by Athena, and placed in a box. The three sisters discovered the infant.
