Falkland Islands War (South American history, 1982)

Note: The Falkland Islands War began when Argentina invaded the Britain-claimed Falkland Islands. These islands were under Argentine control in the early 19th century until Britain seized control in 1833. Argentina surrendered in June 1982, after Britain captured over 11,000 Argentine prisoners who were later released at the end of the war.
