	Velvet Revolution (Czech history, 1989)

Note: A Czech protest movement that gained strength in the country’s industrial centers from November to December of 1989. Pro-democracy demonstrations and strikes took place under the leadership of the Civic Forum, an opposition group helmed by Václav Havel, and resulted in the non-violent transition of power from the one-party Communist government to a parliamentary republic.
