Note: Latin translation dating ca. 750 by an anonymous Merovingian author; the content is a Greek chronicle composed in Alexandria during the reign of Zeno (474-491) or Anastasius (491-518). Meaning "excerpts in bad Latin," the title refers to mistakes in translation.
