Anastasia, Saint (Christian character)

Note: Christian legendary saint, a compilation that merges original stories of a female saint who was martyred in Sirmium and a female said to have been martyred under Diocletian in Rome; in part, the name may come from the name of one or more churches named "Anastasia," from the Greek "Anastasis" (Resurrection). Her feast day is December 25, the same day as Christmas.
