Marriage of Napoleon I to Marie-Louise (French history, 1810)

Note: Marie Louise was married by proxy to Napoleon on 11 March 1810 at the Augustinian Church, Vienna. The civil wedding between Marie-Louise and Napoleon took place at the Saint Joseph's Church, Compiègne, on 1 April 1810. The elaborate religious ceremony took place at the Salon Carré chapel, Louvre 2 April 1810, conducted by the Cardinal Grand Almoner of France.
