Apollonia, Saint (Christian character)

Note: Christian virgin martyr; in her legend, she died in Alexandria during a local uprising against the Christians prior to the persecution by Decius (248/249 BCE). As part of her torture her teeth were pulled; she is the patron saint of dentristry.
