Henry VII Lady Chapel (lady chapel; attributed to Robert Janyns or William Vertue and Robert Ver...; designed 1502; London (Greater London, England, United Kingdom, Europe, Wor...)
Note: Located in: London, England, United Kingdom. Large lady chapel located at the far eastern end of Westminster Abbey, dedicated to the Virgin Mary. The chapel was built on the site of an earlier 13th century lady chapel. The chapel's structure is a three-aisled nave composed of four bays. The chapel is renowned for its fan vault ceiling with hanging pendants, constructed on half-concealed transverse arches. Tudor emblems such as the rose and portcullis embellish the interior. The original stained glass by Bernard Flower has disappeared. The tombs of Henry VI, Edward VI, Elizabeth I, Mary I, James I, Charles II, and Mary, Queen of Scots are found in the chapel.
