Buddhanamasutra (handscroll; unknown Chinese; ca. 9th/10th century; British Library (London, Greater London, England, United Kin...; Or.8210/S.253)

Note: The seated buddhas appearing above each of the roughly 150 hand-copied names were rendered with a woodblock print over which pigment and ink were applied by brush, though here likely by a professional painter. Buddha name sutras survive from Dunhuang in numerous versions.
