Note: Trajan's Coulmn is set in the Forum of Trajan. Its style is closest to the Doric order, but more notable is its continuous spiral frieze narrating Trajan's victories in the Dacian Wars. It was topped with a statue of Trajan, where there is now a statue of St. Peter. The column is hollow with an interior staircase and is perforated with light holes to illuminate the scenes.
