Note: On October 5, 1789, six to seven thousand women gathered at the Hôtel de Ville of Paris, and marched to Versailles; A group of women march to Versailles, carrying lances, pitchforks, clubs, and halberds, led by a woman on horseback and a drummer; One woman holds a stick bearing the scales of Justice and a liberty cap. On the left, a lady of the bourgeoisie is being dragged reluctantly by a marcher; Forms part of: Prints of the French Revolution, 1774-ca. 1840 (Special Collections, accn. no.
