Note: Ignazio Pavon, a student of Raffaello Morghen, was active in Florence as a reproductive printmaker. He died in Rome in 1858; The engraving was derived from a drawing by Ignazio Podio that in turn reproduces Raphael's painting of the Transfiguration (Pinacoteca vaticana); Alternatively, Pavon's engraving was possibly copied from Raffaello Morghen's print of the Transfiguration (cf. Nagler). Publication: [18--].
