Note: Jacques-Firmin Beauvarlet, an etcher, engraver, and publisher from Abbeville, moved to Paris in 1750. In 1762, he was appointed Graveur du Roi and was approved (agréé) by the Académie Royale; The print after a lost painting by Jean-François de Troy served as a pendant to Les apprêts du bal. Its execution was announced in July 1758 in the Mercure de France; Gift of Etienne Breton, Paris. Publication: A Paris : Chez Marcel rue St. Julien no. 12 pres la rue St. Jacque, [ca. 1758].
