Rossman, Zdeněk (Czech typographer and architect, 1905-1984)
|
Note: Studied at the Technical University in Brno 1924-1927, and the Dessau Bauhaus, 1929-1930. He was a member of the Brno section of Devétsil. He experimented with typographic picture-poems, and is known for using all lower-case lettering in his book designs. After 1930 he incorporates photomontage into his work and uses typographic forms in color combined with black and white photography. During this period he also worked as a scenographer. |
