Kubišta, Bohumil (Czech painter, printmaker, and critic, 1884-1918)

Note: One of the principle representatives of the Prague group of cubists ca. 1910-1918. Student of the School of Applied Arts in Prague, and at the Reale Istituto di Belle Arti in Florence after 1906. He worked in a variety of styles evolving from impressionism, expressionism, cubism, and finally Italian Futurism. "Hanged Man" (1916) is considered his greatest work.
