Soares, Teresinha (Brazilian conceptual artist, born 1927)
|
Note: Studied literature in Minais Gerais. Moved to Rio de Janeiro in 1967 to study printmaking at the Museum of Modern Art and exhibited a sculpture in a "Box Form," a group show foreshadowing the beginnings of Brazilian new objectivity. Subsequent works incorporate Soares' theorizing on the body. |
