Felix I, Pope (Roman pope, saint, died 274 CE)
|
Note: Felix was the author of an important dogmatic letter on the unity of the Person of Christ. He received aid from emperor Aurelian in settling a theological dispute between the anti-Trinitarian Paul of Samosata, the deposed bishop of Antioch, and the orthodox Domnus. Early sources call him a martyr, but this assertion is unsupported by any authentic evidence and is due to a confusion of names. |
