Note: Born in Istanbul, Turkey to an Armenian family, Sarkis moved to Paris in 1964. He took part in Harald Szeemann's 'When Attitudes Become Form' in 1969. He has worked with a variety of media and material including films, paintings, drawings, texts, photographs, and often creates site-specific works.
