Klotz, August (German draftsman and naive artist, born 1864)

Note: Klotz worked as a wine salesman for his father's agency. After an illness, he became increasingly depressed and suffered from auditory hallucinations. In his drawings, Klotz developed a system of a "colored alphabet," in which letters corresponded to colors and numbers. The date of his death is unknown. Comment on works: history; miniature |
