Gill, Madge (British draftsman and naive artist, 1882-1961)
|
Note: Gill took to drawing after recovering from an illness, creating thousands of mediumistic works over the following 40 years. Her work often features young women whose bodies fade into intricate backgrounds. She claims to be guided by a spirit she called "Myrninerest" (my inner rest) and often signed her works with this name. Some sources give her birth date as 1884. |
