Note: Abaquesne specialized in tile pavements decorated with heraldic designs, allegorical figures, and grotesques. He may have started his career working with Girolamo della Robbia at the Château de Madrid, Paris. Abaquesne also made decorated Italianate drug jars. He died before 1564, by which time his Laurent had taken over the workshop which remained operative until the end of the 16th century.
