Moraites, Petros (Greek photographer, ca. 1835 - 1905)

Note: In 1859, Moraites began photographing in Athens as assistant to Athanasios Kalfas. In 1860 he established his own studio in Athens. Moraites was the first Greek photographer to be titled "Photographer of H.M. the King" ca. 1868, under the rule of King George I and Queen Olga. |
