Mudd, James (English photographer, 1821-ca. 1906)
|
Note: Mudd began photographing as an amateur in the early 1850s. He joined the Manchester Photographic Society at its inception in 1855. In 1857 Mudd and his brother Robert opened a photographic studio in Manchester. Robert left the business in 1860, at which time James S. Platt joined Mudd as a partner until 1864. Mudd mainly photographed landscapes and industrial views and locomotives. |
