Horio, Sadaharu (Japanese conceptual and performance artist, 1939-2018)
|
Note: Horio created experimental works, which include conventional paintings, with various found materials. He is considered a pioneer of performance art in Kobe, though he maintained a factory job at Mitsubishi until 1998. He studied with Jirō Yoshihara and in the mid-1960s became one of the youngest members of the experimental art group Gutai. |
