Note: Andersen was the founder of one of the leading silversmith firms in Oslo. The firm is noted for its work done in cloisonné and especially plique-à-jour enamel (from the 1890s up until 1914). The later silver produced by the firm is lauded for its functional elegance, particularly that designed by Thorbj Lie-Jorgensen.
