Le comte, Louis (French sculptor, 1650-1681)
|
Note: Louis Le Comte, a French sculptor during the reign of Louis XIV, won the 'premier prix de sculpture' in 1673. He collaborated with Hurtrelle, Flamen, Monier, and Cornu at the French Academy in Rome on a sculpture in honor of Louis XIV, after designs by d'Errard. He returned to Versailles in 1678, the same year he became 'agréé' at the Academy of Painting and Sculpture in Paris. |
