Hiro (Japanese-American photographer, 1930-2021)
|
Note: Hiro came to the United States in the 1950s and began his career as apprentice to Richard Avedon. He soon began working for Harper's Bazaar as staff photographer. He was named photographer of the year by the American Society of Magazine Photographers in 1969. He is known for his fashion photography and still lifes that juxtapose the mundane and the unexpected. |
