Le Cointre, Jean François Joseph (French architect, draftsman, and watercolorist, 1783-1858)

Note: Le Cointre was the partner of Jacques Ignace Hittorff during the Restoration (1814-1830), working for the Menues plaisirs du Roi administration, designing many festivities and theaters, including the Salle Favart-Théâtre Italien (1825) and the Ambigù-Comique (1827). Le Cointre was the partner of E. J. Gilbert for the plan of the "prison de la nouvelle force." Le Cointre was also a noted designer of villas. |
