Note: Arab town north of Nazareth and west of Lake Tiberias (Sea of Galilee). It was a center of rabinical study during the period of the Second Temple, and one of the most populous settlements in the Galilee. Historical ruins include 2nd and 3rd century burial caves, buildings, pillars, Roman and Byzantine ceramics.
