Note: Lindholm Høje rises on the north side of the Limfjord, opposite to the city of Ålborg in the county commune of Nordjylland, Denmark. It is the site of Viking settlements and a burial ground. The place was occupied and used for burials from around 400-500 CE. Two villages have been excavated on the hill, one dating from 700 to 900, and another from 100 to 1150. The hill seems to have been abandoned around 1200.
