Note: Straight-fronted sofas with small triangular seats (sometimes detachable) set outside the arms at either end. For S-shaped sofas with ends curving inward so two people could sit face to face, use "canapés à confident."

Additional Notes:
Chinese (traditional) ..... 是指椅座正面平直，扶手兩側附加可拆式或固定之小型三角椅座的沙發。若是指稱兩端朝內側彎曲，且可讓兩個人面對面坐著的S型沙發，使用「S型對坐沙發」(canapés à confident)一詞。 
Dutch ..... Wordt gebruikt voor sofa's met een rechte voorkant en kleine, driehoekige zitplaatsen die aan de buitenkant van de armleuningen zitten en soms afneembaar zijn. Gebruik 'canapés à confident' voor sofa's met een S-vorm waarvan de zijleuningen naar binnen buigen zodat twee mensen met het gezicht naar elkaar toe kunnen zitten. 
German ..... Sofa mit gerader Vorderseite und kleinen dreieckigen Sitzen (manchmal abnehmbar), die sich außerhalb der Armlehnen zu beiden Enden anschließen. Für ein S-förmiges Sofa mit nach innen gebogenen Enden, so dass sich zwei Personen gegenüber sitzen können, benutze "Tête-à-Tête". 
Spanish ..... Úsese para sofás con el frente recto con pequeños asientos triangulares (algunas veces desmontables) colocados por fuera de los brazos en cada extremo. Para sofás con forma de S con extremos que se curvan hacia adentro para que la gente pueda sentarse cara a cara, use "canapé à confident."
