Note: Schools that originated in medieval Europe and were run by cathedral clergy with the original goal of training priests. | Dutch ..... Scholen die ontstonden in het middeleeuwse Europa en werden geleid door kathedrale geestelijken met als oorspronkelijke doel het opleiden van priesters. Deze scholen ontwikkelden zich later tot instellingen die ook lesgaven aan leken, meestal jongens van adellijke komaf die werden voorbereid op hoge posities in de kerk, provincie of het zakenleven. |
