Dutch ..... Wordt gebruikt voor tuig dat over het algemeen wordt gekarakteriseerd door een enkele mast, een driehoekig zeil waarvan de vooruitstekende hoek scherp achteroverhelt en is aangehecht aan een recht rondhout of ra, die op zijn beurt weer is aangehecht aan de mast, en een giek die voorwaarts uitstrekt van de mast. 
German ..... Takelung, die meist durch einen einzelnen Mast gekennzeichnet ist, sowie einem dreieckigen Segel, dessen Vorderkante stark nach achtern geneigt und an einer geraden Spiere oder Rahe befestigt ist, welche wiederum am Mast festgemacht ist, und einen Baum, der sich über den Mast hinaus bugwärts verlängert.
