Note: A colorless corrosive gas, the hydride of fluorine and an extremely powerful halogen acid, hydrogen fluoride is used as a catalyst and a fluorinating agent. Dutch ..... Waterstoffluoride is het hydride van fluor, een kleurloos corrosief gas en een extreem krachtig halogeenzuur. Het wordt gebruikt als katalysator en fluorideringsmiddel, maar vooral in de productie van fluor bevattende koelmiddelen, zoals freonen. Binnen de context van de conserveringswetenschap wordt waterstoffluoride gezien als een atmosfeervervuiler die metalen constructies en gebouwen of monumenten van kalksteen beschadigt. |
