Note: Architectural order characterized by columns having spiraling shafts or spiraling lines incised in the shafts, designed to resemble the legendary columns of the lost Temple of Solomon in Jerusalem, which by tradition had spiraling columns. Although versions of this order were seen earlier, the elements of this order were described in detail by Jesuit theorists, particularly Juan Bautista Villalpando.

Dutch ..... Bouworde gekenmerkt door zuilen met spiraalvormige schachten of spiraalvormige lijnen die in de schachten zijn gekerfd, bedoeld om de legendarische zuilen van de Tempel van Salomo in Jeruzalem na te bootsen, die volgens de traditie waren voorzien van spiraalvormige zuilen. Er waren al eerdere versies van deze orde, maar de elementen daarvan werden voor het eerst gedetailleerd beschreven door Jezuïtische theoretici, met name door Juan Bautista Villalpando. 
Portuguese ..... Ordem arquitetônica caracterizada por colunas com eixos em espiral ou linhas em espiral incisadas nos eixos, projetadas para se assemelhar às colunas lendárias do perdido Templo de Salomão em Jerusalém, que por tradição tinha colunas em espiral. Embora versões dessa ordem tenham sido vistas anteriormente, os elementos dessa ordem foram descritos em detalhes por teóricos jesuítas, particularmente Juan Bautista Villalpando.
