| Dutch ..... Almandien dat geslepen is als cabochon (met een bol, afgerond en gepolijst oppervlak) en dieprood van kleur is. Het voetstuk wordt vaak uitgehold om een lichtere kleur te produceren. Als het almandien naaldvormige insluitsels van rutiel bevat, kan het karbonkel een vierpuntig asterisme (een stervorm) vertonen. |
