| Dutch ..... Penning die werd vervaardigd met de bedoeling om mensen of gebeurtenissen belachelijk te maken. Bekend zijn de penningen met op de voorzijde het hoofd van de paus, wanneer men de afbeelding 180 graden draaide werd het de duivel. Dit type spotpenning ontstond in het tweede kwart van de zestiende eeuw, in de tijden van roerige religieuze tegenstellingen. |
