Note: Roman javelins of Etruscan origin, issued to Roman soldiers from the Republican period to the 4th or 5th century CE. Their form and weight varied over time, but usually they were characterized by a long, narrow head attached to the staff by a flange or socket, and a weight attached to the staff below the head to improve balance and trajectory. |

Su forma y peso variaron a través del tiempo, pero generalmente se caracterizaron por tener una cabeza larga y angosta sujeta a un asta por una pestaña o una cavidad, y con un peso agregado al asta debajo de la cabeza para mejorar el balance y la trayectoria. |
