Note: In postclassic central Mexico, conical headdresses commonly integrated into the Cuextecatl (Huastec) warrior costume. These were worn by the deity Quetzalcoatl. In colonial sources, it is described by the conquistadors as a miter. This term is also occasionally applied in colonial sources to the xiuhuitzolli, or turquoise diadem.

Spanish ..... En el México central posclásico, el tocado cónico comúnmente integrado en el traje Cuextecatl (Huasteco). Era usado por el dios Quetzalcóatl. En las fuentes coloniales, los conquistadores lo describen como una mitra. Este término también se aplica ocasionalmente en las fuentes coloniales al xiuhhuitzolli, o diadema de turquesa.
