Note: Photographic process that is a variant of the oil process in which the developed silver in a gelatin print is used as a catalyst to tan the gelatin. The untanned highlights become saturated when the print is soaked in water and will resist a greasy ink, while the tanned shadows accept the ink. The original print may be the end product or may be used as a master for transferring the image to another support.

| Chinese (traditional) ..... 一種攝影的印相法，油溶重鉻酸鹽明膠印相法的一種形式，在此過程中，明膠片經過沖洗顯影，其中的銀質作為讓明膠片呈棕褐色的催化劑。未形成棕褐色之明亮部分，在明膠片浸泡在水中時受到滲透，能防止油墨附著，而棕色的陰暗部分則會吸收油墨。原版的明膠片可能是最終成品，亦可用來做為將影像轉印至另一個片基的母片。 |
| Dutch ..... Oliedruk waarbij wordt uitgegaan van een vergroting op bromidepapier, zodat een contactnegatief niet nodig is. Het fotopapier wordt na de normale afwerking gebleekt, waarbij het zilverbeeld verdwijnt en een in verschillende mate gelooid gelatinereliëf overblijft. De eerste afdruk kan het eindprodukt zijn, maar ook een model voor het overbrengen van de afbeelding op een andere ondergrond. |

Úsese para el proceso fotográfico que es una variante del proceso del aceite en el cual la plata desarrollada en una impresión de la gelatina se utiliza como catalizador para broncear la gelatina. Los toques de luz sin curtir se saturan cuando la impresión se empapa en agua y resistirá una tinta grasienta, mientras que las sombras bronceadas aceptan la tinta. La impresión original puede ser el producto final o se puede utilizar como guía para transferir la imagen a otra. |
