Note: Color representing that portion of the spectrum that is intermediate between red and blue, with wavelengths between 380 and 420 nanometers. The term may refer to any of this group of colors that vary in lightness and saturation. Examples of violet color in nature are seen in certain plum fruits and in the bloom of the violet plant, Viola odorata. Violet is a secondary pigment color (made by combining blue and red). Spectral violet cannot be reproduced accurately in the RGB color model (used for computer screens).

| Chinese (traditional) ..... 指色彩名稱。在光譜上，靛色介於紅色和藍色之間，波長則在380奈米到420奈米之間。在靛色系中帶著不同明度與飽和度的色彩，皆可稱為「靛色」。一些梅李類的果實與堇類的花朵如紫羅蘭，即是大自然中可見的靛色之實例。靛色為二次顏料色（由藍色和紅色組成）。光譜上的靛色無法在三原色色彩模式（用於電腦螢幕）中精確地被複製出來。 |

De term kan verwijzen naar alle in helderheid en verzadiging variërende kleurschakeringen binnen deze groep kleuren. Voorbeelden van de kleur violet in de natuur zijn de kleur van de pruim of van het bloeiende viooltje, waaraan de kleur zijn naam ontleent. Violet is een secundaire pigmentkleur (ontstaan door vermenging van blauw en rood). Het violet uit het kleurenspectrum kan niet nauwkeurig worden geproduceerd in het RGB-kleurenmodel (gebruikt voor computerbeeldschermen). |
| Portuguese ..... Cor que representa a porção do espectro que é intermediária entre vermelho e azul, com comprimentos de onda entre 380 e 420 nanômetros. O termo pode se referir a qualquer um desse grupo de cores que variam em luminosidade e saturação. Exemplos de cor violeta na natureza são vistos em certas frutas de ameixa e na flor da planta violeta, Viola odorata. Violeta é uma cor de pigmento secundário (feito pela combinação de azul e vermelho). O violeta espectral não pode ser reproduzido com precisão no modelo de cor RGB (usado para telas de computador). |
