Note: Color prints made using a combination printing process involving an intaglio, or occasionally lithographic, key plate which prints the image, after which color is superimposed on the print using wood blocks. The process was patented by an Englishman, George Baxter, in 1835, and was very popular up into the 1870s. This term refers to prints of this process not made by Baxter himself; the term Baxter prints is sometimes used to refer exclusively to prints made by Baxter.

| Dutch ..... Kleurenafdrukken die worden gemaakt aan de hand van een gecombineerd drukproces met intagliobasisplaten en soms lithografische basisplaten, waarbij op de afgedrukte afbeelding met houtblokken een kleurenlaag wordt aangebracht. Het procedé werd in 1835 gepatenteerd door de Engelsman George Baxter en was tot in de jaren 70 van de 19de eeuw erg populair. Deze term verwijst naar de afdrukken volgens dit procedé die niet door Baxter zelf werden gemaakt. De term 'Baxter-afdrukken' wordt soms gebruikt om speciaal te verwijzen naar afdrukken die door Baxter waren gemaakt. |

Farbdruck, der durch die Verwendung eines kombinierten Druckverfahrens hergestellt wurde, das eine Hochdruckschlüsselplatte oder gelegentlich eine Lithographieplatte umfasst, die das Bild druckt, danach wird die Farbe unter Verwendung von Holzstöcken über den Druck gelegt. Dieses Verfahren wurde von einem Engländer, George Baxter, 1835 patentiert, und war bis zu den 1870er Jahren sehr populär. Der Begriff bezieht sich auf Drucke in diesem Verfahren, die nicht von Baxter selbst hergestellt wuden; der Begriff Baxter-Druck wird manchmal ausschließlich in Bezug auf von Baxter hergestellte Drucke verwendet. |
| Spanish ..... Estampas a color hechas usando una combinación de procesos de impresión que involucran un intaglio, u ocasionalmente una plancha litográfica, los cuales imprimen la imagen, después el color es superimpuesto en la impresión usando bloques de madera. El proceso fue patentado por un inglés, George Baxter en 1835 y fue muy popular hasta 1870. Este término se refiere a estampas del proceso no realizadas por el propio Baxter; el término estampas Baxter es a veces usado para referirse a estampas hechas exclusivamentes por Baxter.
