Note: Large circular or oval bowls with scalloped rims used to cool inverted wine glasses or punch cups, usually six or more. Often made of silver, but also of earthenware, porcelain, or other metals. Those with detachable, scalloped rims also served as punch bowls. For small vessels that hold one wine glass, use "wine-glass coolers."

| Chinese (traditional) ..... 具扇形邊緣的圓形或橢圓形大碗，用於冷卻倒置的玻璃酒杯、或賓治酒杯，通常可放置六個以上的杯子。通常為銀製，但也有陶、瓷、或其他金屬製品，若扇形邊緣是可分離的，也可做為潘趣酒碗。若指盛裝一個酒杯的小型容器，則見「葡萄酒杯冷卻器」一詞。 |
| Dutch ..... Grote ronde of ovale kommen, meestal van zilver, met een schulprand waaraan glazen werden gehangen om af te koelen, soms kan de rand worden verwijderd. |

Große runde oder ovale Schüssel mit laffenförmigem Rand; gewöhnlich dazu gneutzt, um sechs oder mehr umgedrehte Wein- oder Punschgläser zu kühlen; zumeist aus Silber, aber auch aus Irdenware, Porzellan oder aus anderen Metallen gefertigt. Exemplare mit abnehmbaren laffenförmigen Rändern dienten auch als Punschbowlen. Für kleine Gefäße, die ein Weinglas halten, benutze den Begriff "Weinglaskühler". |
| Spanish ..... Grandes bols circulares u ovales con bordes festoneados, usados para enfriar botellas de vino invertidas o copas de ponche, generalmente seis o más. A menudo hechos de plata, pero también de barro cocido, porcelana u otros metales. Aquellos con bordes festoneados removibles también sirven como poncheras. Para pequeñas vasijas que contienen una sola botella de vino, use "enfriador de vino."
