Note: A durable, dyable nylon fiber formed from hexamethylenediamine and adipic acid. Nylon 6,6 was developed at DuPont in 1935. It is very similar in structure to nylon 6, a rival product created ny I.G. Farbenindustrie four years later, and the two types of polyamide fiber remain the most commonly used by the textile and plastics industries worldwide. |

Dutch ..... Duurzame, verfbare nylonvezel gevormd uit hexamethylenediamine en adipinezuur. Nylon 6,6 werd in 1935 door DuPont ontwikkeld. Het lijkt qua structuur erg op nylon 6, een concurrerend product dat vier jaar later door I.G. Farbenindustrie werd ontwikkeld. Deze twee typen polyamidevezel worden wereldwijd nog steeds het meest gebruikt in de textiel- en plasticindustrie. |
