Dutch ..... Genus van circa negen soorten algemeen voorkomende saprobe schimmels die zich via sporen voortplanten door gebruikmaking van vegetatieve, aseksuele en seksuele methoden. De leden worden aangetroffen op diverse planten en als gespecialiseerde parasieten op dieren, met inbegrip van mensen. Ze komen voor op de meest uiteenlopende organische substraten, waaronder rijpe vruchten en groenten, uitwerpselen, jam- en stroopsoorten, leer, brood, pinda's en tabak. |
