Note: Family containing two genera, about ten living species of capuchins and squirrel monkeys in South and Central America. Dolichocebus, a now extinct cebid, lived in the Middle East about 25 million years ago. They have been in South America since at least the early Oligocene, when they probably arrived via overwater rafting from Africa.

Chinese (traditional) ..... 含兩個屬、約十個現存品種的科,包括中南美洲捲尾猴與松鼠猴。Dolichocebus為已絕種的捲尾猴科,居住於兩千五百萬年前的中東。牠們至晚出現於漸新世早期的南美洲,很可能自非洲靠筏漂流至此。
