Note: Large square-built concertinas developed by the German Heinrich Band in the 1840s. It has button keys and may have either a single or double action, though single is more common. Early models have 88 keys or more, but the average modern instrument has 71. They are best known as used by the tango bands of Brazil, Argentine, and Uruguay, but are also known in West Africa and the USA..

Additional Notes:
Dutch ..... Grote vierkante concertina’s, in de jaren 40 van de 19de eeuw ontwikkeld door de Duitser Heinrich Band. Ze hebben een toetsenklavier en een een- of tweezijdig toonmechaniek, hoewel eenzijdig het meest gebruikelijk is. Vroege modellen hebben 88 of meer toetsen, maar het gemiddelde moderne instrument heeft er 71. Ze zijn het meest bekend door hun gebruik in tango-orkesten in Brazilië, Argentinië en Uruguay, al komen ze ook voor in West-Afrika en de Verenigde Staten.
