Additional Notes:
Dutch ..... Wordt gebruikt voor tuinen die zijn aangelegd vanuit de Shintoïstische, de Boeddhistische of de Zen-filosofie met betrekking tot de relatie tussen mens en natuur. De tuinen worden doorgaans gekenmerkt door eenvoudige asymmetrische ontwerpen en gedomineerd door gesnoeide groenblijvende planten. Ook treft men er vaak bruggen, rotsen, stapstenen, bijeengeharkt grind en stenen lantaarns aan; hiermee wordt getracht een voor contemplatie en meditatie geschikte entourage te creëren. 
German ..... Garten auf Basis der Lehren der shintoistischen, buddhistischen Philosophie oder der Zenphilosophie über das Verhältnis zwischen Mensch und Natur: In der Regel finden sich hier einfache asymmetrische Formen, deren Elemente beschnittene immergrüne Pflanzen, oftmals Brücken, Felsen, Trittsteine, geharkter Kies und Steinlampen sind, um eine Umgebung für Kontemplation und Meditation zu bieten.  
Spanish ..... Úsese para jardines creados siguiendo la filosofía sintoísta, budista o Zen acerca de la relación entre la naturaleza y las personas. Se caracterizan, generalmente, por un diseño simple asimétrico, dominado por plantas de hoja perenne recortadas. Frecuentemente, incorpora puentes, rocas, escaleras de piedra, grava rastrillada y linternas de piedra a fin de crear un ambiente adecuado para la contemplación y la meditación.
