Dutch ..... Schoeisel zonder hak dat geheel is gemaakt van zacht leer, zoals hertenleer, en waarvan de zool naar boven doorloopt zodat deze geheel of gedeeltelijk de bovenkant vormt van de voetbedekking; met een achternaad. Werden oorspronkelijk gedragen door de inheemse bevolking van Noord-Amerika. Ook schoenen van soortgelijk model met een harde zool en hak eraan vast, gemaakt van zacht of hard leer of leerachtig materiaal.

Hirschleder, mit einer Sohle, die einen Teil oder den gesamten oberen Abschnitt formt, der den Fuß bedeckt und hinten mit einer Naht endet; ursprünglich von indigenen Völkern Nordamerikas getragen. Ferner ein Schuh mit ähnlichem Aufbau, mit fester Sohle und angefügtem Absatz, aus weichem oder harten Leder oder lederähnlichem Material.
